Hi All -- To be completely honest, I woke up early Sunday morning, looked outside, and was sure we would not be able to play: it was chilly, misty, foggy, cloudy. But I figured since we cancelled the week before, and since we don't have games the next two weekends, perhaps the weather will improve as the morning goes along, and we can squeeze in game. I figured worst case, we can show up on the field, turn around, and go home. When we got to the field, I asked my kids whether they'd want to play, and it was an overwhelming "absolutely", so I sent out the "report from the field email". I polled several of the parents who came early, and all shared my sentiment, "let's play, worst case if the weather gets worse, we go home early". In what definitely counted as the "wet socks" Sunday morning, all had a great time. Not only did we play, there were smiles on everybody's faces (except perhaps on the faces of a few parents who waited in the cold while the kids were having fun)! Enjoy the pictures, below. Reminder that we don't have baseball on Sunday 5/29 (Memorial Day Weekend), and no baseball on Sunday 6/5 (Israeli Day Parade). Next time we meet, it will be Sunday 6/12 - when we'll have the awards ceremony immediately after baseball. Also, if you haven't done so, please RSVP for the awards ceremony. Regards, Ari |
